Perpetual Path Produces New Masters!

Congratulations to our newly raised Brothers who attended the Perpetual Path Program in Frederick, Oklahoma this weekend. Brothers Nick Vain, Thor Sharpe and Jack Rector all became Master Masons and perpetual members of Lawton #183 and we are so proud of their commitment to Freemasonry and our lodge. The future of Lawton #183 is Bright! Thank you all who attended this wonderful event and supported the progress of our Brethren.

Past Masters and Widows Night 2017

Please join us for our annual dinner to honor the Past Worshipful Masters and Widows of Lawton Lodge #183. It will be held on November 3, 2017 beginning at 6pm. We plan to serve a delicious Italian dinner with desserts and beverages. This is free of change and open to the public. We look forward to having you all in attendance to honor the leaders of our lodge from years passed and our beloved departed Brothers Widows.

Announcement! Cancer Center Transportation Fund Raiser!

On October 28, 2017 beginning at 11am, Lawton Masonic Lodge will hold an Indian Taco Benefit Luncheon to support the Leah M. Fitch, Comanche County Cancer Center Transportation Department. This is our 2nd Annual Fundraiser for this cause and we hope to contribute much needed funds to this worthy undertaking. We encourage maximum participation and hope to see as many there as possible. Let’s get the word out so that we can assist the wonderful Staff, tireless volunteers and drivers in continuing to provide this vital link between patient and care givers. This fundraiser will continue until 4pm, or until all the Indian Tacos are eaten. Suggested donation per plate is $6, and desserts and beverages will be complimentary.

FALL SCOTTISH RITE REUNION IS FAST APPROACHING

If you are not a Scottish Rite Mason, the next opportunity to become one is fast approaching. The Guthrie Scottish Rite Fall Reunion is on 7-8 October 2017 at the Guthrie Scottish Rite Temple. If you are interested in becoming a 32d Degree Scottish Rite Mason, please visit with our Secretary who has petitions and information on lodging etc. Cost for degrees is $175.00.

If you ARE a Scottish Rite member then please mark your calendars to join us in Guthrie for the Reunion. It is always a great opportunity to fellowship with our Scottish Rite Brethren from across the state and visiting Brothers from around the country.

Congratulations to our newly installed Officers for 2017

We had a wonderful evening of Masonic fellowship while we installed our newly elected Officers for the 2017 year. W:. John M Morris was installed as Worshipful Master, Bro Randy Matz, our Senior Warden, Bro James Oates III, Junior Warden, W:. Joe Rough, (also our outgoing WM) as Treasurer, and W:. Glen Chaney for his second year as Secretary. Also, the following Brothers were appointed to the other important places in our lodge. Bro Phillip Moore, as Senior Deacon, Bro Travis Tripp, Junior Warden, Bro Dylan Shupe as our Senior Steward and our newly affiliated Brother Troy Reidel as our Junior Steward. Bro Joe Millsap will continue to serve as our dedicated Chaplain, and Bro James Reid will serve another year as our outstanding Tyler. We look forward to another wonderful year at Lawton Lodge #183, and we sincerely thank and appreciate our outgoing Worshipful Master, Joe M. Rough for his leadership and guidance during the 2016 year. We accomplished a lot and it was due to his vision and direction of the Craft.

2 Fellow Craft Degrees this week

There will be two opportunities to attend Fellow Craft Degrees this week. Lawton Lodge #183 will hold a FC degree on Monday the 22d of August and Cache Valley #530 in Walters, OK will have a FC Degree on 24 August 2016. Both degrees look to start at 6pm with refreshments or dinner to be served at the break. Please support both if you can and we look forward to great fellowship as always.

The District Meeting at Lawton Lodge 183, on August 26, 2016 has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. We apologize for the inconvenience and will look forward to seeing everyone at the September District Meeting at Elgin, OK where the Most Worshipful Grand Master will be received. Thank you.
