Frank Hamer is the Texas Ranger credited with tracking down and killing the infamous duo of Bonnie and Clyde Barrow. Hamer’s law enforcement career, serving at the county, state, and federal levels, spanned from the early 1900s through the age of Prohibition and lasting until his retirement in 1932. He passed away three years later in Austin Texas. Over the course of his career Hamer was wounded in action 17 times and left for dead on four occasions.
