Lodges of Research

A Lodge of Research is a Masonic Lodge established for the purpose of Masonic Research. It does not confer degrees but it must have a charter from a Grand Lodge. The oldest known Lodge of Research is the Quatuor Coronati Lodge No. 2076 which was first formed in 1884 under a charter from the United Grand Lodge of England. In most cases, membership in these lodges is open to Master Masons belonging to a Grand Lodge recognized by the Grand Lodge the Research Lodge received its charter from. These Lodges produce regular publications to share the research done by their members. In some cases, Master Masons can submit questions to these lodges which they will research and share with the Brother. What follows is a list of Research Lodges with links to their websites and/or social media sites.
